I wish i had read these reviews befor we purchased our table.

Purchased 9 peice dining suite from big save Timaru. Picked it up 3 weeks later, assembled the chairs only to discover the legs were missing from the table and the table had been crushed in the shipping process.

Big save apologised and ordered a new table in.



2.5 weeks later i ring them and they inform me its been in the store for a week. Loving there AMAZING customer service i ask to open the tabel and check it before i took it with me. This one was also crushed and had a large stab mark in one end.

Not learning from my mistakes Big Save ordered me in a 3rd table which arrived 3 weeks later. Got it home and put it up only to find the 9 piece set was complete. However only 2 of the 3 chairs they sold me fit along the sides between the legs.



Asked for a refund to which they weren't authorized to give me. An absolute shambles.

I ordered and pre-paid for a couch from Big Save Furniture on 8 June 2023 and was told it would be 12 weeks. An error was made in manufacturing and I was told that a replacement would be made quickly. Its now 31 October and I'm still waiting. There has only been minimal communication with me about the delay. I chose Big Save because I wanted NZ made furniture that used wool. I wish I had read the customer feedbacks prior to purchasing. Big Save website says: quote "Exceptional Customer Service". well in my experience Big Save are not living up to their values. I understand that delays do happen, but please Big Save it only takes a minute to email your customers with an update on delayed goods.

Not even worth a half star to be honest.

We spend over $4800 with this company in Glenfield and have had nothing but drama from the get-go. Delayed deliveries, damaged goods and the lack of customer service is beyond me. All they want is to make money with no regard for customer satisfaction. After emails, physical visits and phone calls to both the store and the regional manager, still no response. This will be taken further. Unacceptable in more ways than one.

Still waiting from the Manukau branch to deliver the right colour item. It's been 46 days now. Even the replacement was the wrong colour. Incredible incompetence. I don't seem to be alone in my feelings about this particular branch. Maybe they are not so good for your brand.

We had a delivery scheduled yesterday between 10.15-12.15PM. I called Manukau branch twice to confirm and they guaranteed that it will be delivered. A text message was sent to me at 4.20PM that delivery is on the way and we waited til 6PM but nobody showed up! I took a day off work waiting the whole day and they didnt have the courtesy to tell me or organise a new delivery date. No respect for other people’s time, what a poor service experience this is

Great from start to finish

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had and it just left me in tears. The website is so not fit for purpose and the staff don’t care. I am now in a situation where the drawers that I really wanted to get I can’t because of a website that is useless and staff that have an attitude problem. One of the staff called me bolshy when I was getting frustrated with the really bad website, nobody should be in tears trying to buy furniture.

What a shambles. Ordered a couch and the only thing good about this whole experience is that it arrived on the day and time it was expected. Went to put the legs on and the drill holes weren't in the right place, and that would mean screwing legs into the actual fabric of the couch, which I didn't think was right, so they agreed to send a new couch. Received a call from delivery driver to say the were on their way and my husband had to race home from work to let them in. There was no notification at all to provide a timing window for the replacement.

The new couch had the same problem,, but even worse, so they agreed to deliver a new couch with the legs already attached. A time was agreed and my husband came to meet them and instead of bringing a new couch, they put the legs on the one we had before and informed that you don't need to match the bolt hole, you just screw the new legs in. If we'd know this, we would have done it when we got the first couch. They said the often just screw legs straight into the couch fabric, which seems a bit of a risky practice.

We were delighted to now have a couch, but when we sat on it, it has a terrible squeak and also a secondary noise like bells chiming inside. It's just terrible. I then emailed and told them we like to return and get a refund.

They agreed to do this and had no further communication of when it would actually happen, so I follow up and was told they would be coming to our home at pretty much the time I was on the phone with them. Next minute I get a call from the delivery driver saying they were outside and again I need to make urgent contact with my husband so he could race home to let them in. The couch was taken back with a big dirty hand mark from the driver. Now hoping we get a full refund of the couch and the delivery fee. What a big waste of time it has been purchasing from them.

purchased a couch, it was delivered with a massive gap between the two seater. called and sent photos, they didn't believe me. sent a technician out sure enough i was right. so that got collected another one came within a week the recliner has bent! where your feet go and do you think i can get help!? no! i keep getting, call back in four days because someone resigned. how the hell is that my problem. asked for head offices number and got you can google it but i cant give it to you. all i want is my couch to be right the one i paid for the one that is supposed to be "brand new" YOUR COMPANY IS HORRENDOUS! you get one star only because a negative rating inst an option. you haven't hear the last from me.

Brought about $5000 worth of different furniture from target road store. Had to wait for some of it to come in to stock. Never received calls that it was in store or got delivered. Ended up going into the store about 2 months later and the stock was sitting there. However by this time I had purchased more furniture elsewhere and requested a refund only to be told it wouldn’t be the full price as there’s refund fees. I go into the store a month later to see what’s happening with refund and see products now on the floor to be sold however they have no knowledge or what’s happening with refund. I ring and talk to numerous sales reps and told different answers and that I’d get a call back about what’s happening with my refund only to hear nothing months later. Once again I call through to be told I’d get my refund within 10 days and I’m still waiting 2 weeks later! Won’t be coming back here again!!
