Hi .Who ever designed your mandarin add should have checked the blossoms of a mandarin tree .Not used tomatoe flowers .Really annoying .

 by Susan McNicol

Two weeks ago I had a fall at the New Timaru Countdown on Evans St due to a customer dropping Coleslaw ,they knew about it but hadnt put any warning signs out or have somesome stand there to make sure no one slipped on it until it was cleaned up , Unfortunatley for me and afternoon In A&E, ending up on crutches , I thought someone from management would be in contact to see how I was, due to the fall I've strained my Groin & Hip m Hurt my back & twisted my pelvis needing on going physio , etc, . I feel at the least they should cover my medical costs as its adding up with the ACC surcharges .

Countdown is ripping off the people of NZ. There food price mark ups are outrageiously high and we do not see this in AU or elsewhere. They and the other huge grocery outlets are taking advantage and this shows their priority of -- PROFITS - BEFORE - PEOPLE. It is disgusting. They could be fair and charge a fair price but now most can not afford meat or fish or even milk and egges anymore and that shows GREED on a massive scale. Shame on them but I bet their CEO's are making a killing salary on the backs of our suffering. Nothing will change. Their greed will continue.

Very disappointed that more self-service machines are being put in at Coastlands Countdown as I love using a staffed check out and don't want to interact with a robot. I will happily wait at a staffed check-out even if I have one item but there really aren't enough check-out operators and it goes to show Countdown does not value its customers who want a human as opposed to a cyborg interaction.

Also, there have been instances overseas where people using self check-outs have been falsely accused of theft - using a staffed check-out eliminates this problem entirely.

I will tell all my friends and family never to use countdown. Disgusting pack of dogs, all the people at the top are friends or family, won't be surprised when Australia realises the uneducated level of people running the show

I am exhausted. The ongoing issue with panhandlers outside of Victoria Street Metro makes a supermarket shop a nightmare. Nothing gets done. The security guards are useless, and the panhandlers are becoming more aggressive and invasive, now physically threatening. The line between council land and the police is minimal. The staff do all they can but are limited with PC and an inability to action anything. Yesterday, I was physically threatened by a beggar literally screaming in my face about nothing. The police called, but yet again, the same people are back abusing people, drinking, 'socializing', and thinking that they are cool. They are not. They threaten, they intimidate, and they make life difficult because they think that by sitting outside, they can beg and bully. When will Countdown, Auckland Council, and the police work sort out this bs

Your employee service is sadly, crap! My son has been trying to get his pay sorted for well over 5 days!! Frankly your treatment of him and others, I have heard about, is bloody disgusting. He has rent to pay, bills to pay and grab his own groceries!! In all of my LONG working life I have never seen such shoddy behaviour and lack of care in sorting this situation out! Where is the incentive to do a good job?? I'm tempted to push for a disputes resolution! No one should be put out like this and you lot in your comfy offices, just don't give a dam as people like him, suffer!! A very 'mickey mouse' outfit.

Notified 4th caller in line on 0800 number....40 minutes later at 4.07pm & still waiting....how do 3 callers prior take operators in customer care take that long....is there only 1 staff member on the 0800 number dealing with all calls.....seems abit over the top to be on hold for 40 minutes & ONLY 3 callers in front of this one.... unbelievable countdown,

Countdown Woolworths Richmond....bread exposed on shelf unsealed, no glass cabinet, left for ANYONE to sneeze cough over "fresh bread & rolls"...not fresh when customers/ kids can touch, sneeze, cough, touch hair and your so called fresh would be "germ infested" full priced items.... we never buy these items as no care for hygiene shown...speaking from food handling background. Quite stomach churning that a food store sells bread exposed to customer kids coughing and spluttering over it.... absolutely gross. Cover food you are selling.....the cakes are in a glass cabinet, other items in sealed bags and then the opposite when bread left out for germs to accumulate. Been that way for 2 years. This would not pass

NZ Health & safety food standards.
